Heya
I thought it was about time I posted another journal entry. I've decided it would be a good idea to put in my footer a nice collection of my favourites, all based around a certain theme. 10 points to anyone who can spot the obvious theme in this entry's footer
Well, the past week I've been alone at home, as my parents have been in Ireland for the most part of the week. They came back Saturday evening, and I was glad they weren't home when I got home... because I could barely stand up after trying a few different ciders and finding one was 7.3% alc. So anyway, they went to Ireland for the week, and they had a really great time. They gave me the memorycard out of my camera to show me the pictures they took, and a couple of them were such great shots and views I just had to ask them if I could share them here. They were fine with it, so as you might have seen already, I've uploaded into my gallery two photos that my mum took.
Ireland and
Irish Cliffs are the two that I chose to upload.
They brought back with them some irish cheese and some Guiness Toffee. I saw the Guiness Toffee wondering what it would taste like, and its so nice, but my Mum already ate most of it. My parents are allergic to cheese though, so they're keeping their hands off that. It's so nice, I've only tried a little bit and I can say that.
Meanwhile back home, I've had some fun

The first few days I didn't really do a lot. On Thursday though, I went to Whitstable and Herne Bay with Dan and Ben because we were bored and we wanted something to do. That was fun. We found LOADS of oysters on the beach, and so I was running around picking up all that I could find and throwing them at Dan and Ben who were opening them up on the groynes. We didn't find anything though. That was the same night Sarah asked me out
Next day, I went to Bognor Regis with, again, Dan and Ben. I asked Sarah if she wanted to come, but she had family over until 2pm, and by 2pm we would have been long on our way, so I just stayed with her for the morning and then we went. That was a fun day though. So damned hot. The car recorded 23 degrees celsius. Damned good for this time of year. We got a bit scared and ended up sitting at the side of the road for a while when Ben's car's brakes almost failed... at 80... Damn Horsham and all it's roundabouts. We were overtaking some slow person at 80, notice a roundabout coming up and the brakes just jolted and then barely did a lot... So that was fun. Turned out they were just hot. Everything else was fine but he's still gonna get it checked out anyway... But still, that was a fun day. We found an abandoned tractor on the beach and Dan sat on it trying to work out the gears while Ben had a look at the engine to decide whether it would still actually run. If it wasn't so rusted, it would run with a battery and water tank, but it didn't have that, and it was covered in rust from the sea, so it wouldn't. But still. Tractor anyone? It's on Bognor Regis' beach.
Saturday I went to Croydon with Sarah, which was the first time Sarah and I actually went somewhere together. I've seen her every morning since she asked me out, but Saturday was the first time we actually went somewhere. We were so tired that morning though. I don't know why she was so tired, but I was still tired from the day before. We ended up falling asleep on the bus. By the time we got to Shirley Park Golf Club, she was asleep. Don't know when I fell asleep, but it wasn't long after... We ended up being woken up by the bus driver when we got to the Croydon Collonades and ended up having to go all the way back, because we'd missed our stop by a long long LONG way. We went around Croydon for a while, had lunch and then went back to Sarah's for a bit... Good day that was. I stayed home for a bit after I left her to do some art coursework, and then went to Lloyds Bar with Ben and Sam. I drunk too much. I felt really embarressed the next morning when I was reading my texts to find a text from Sarah saying "You can translate that in the morning! Have a good time but let me know when you get in so I dont worry about you". I don't really think that's a good thing to get from your girlfriend when you've not been together for a week. But oh well
So yeah, Sunday I went for a drink with Ben in Eynsford after seeing Sarah in the morning. Went to a pub, got refused because it was an over 21s, which was fair enough. We just didn't see any age restriction signs anywhere... Went over the road to a different pub, didn't even get IDed, which was interesting.
Today, I went to Sarah's for most of the morning and beginning of the afternoon. She showed me what she's done of her art coursework so far, and it's looking really good. I wouldn't be surprised if she got an A for it

We were just lazy today... Sat around not doing much...

I met her friend Helen today. She's really nice
So yeah, that's been my first week. A bit late, but
HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!
For those of you who like music to just chill-out to, I've been listening to a very good album the past few days. Buckethead are an experimental-instrumental rock/metal band who I heard a while ago. A lot of their stuff is heavy, upbeat metal and hard rock, but one of their albums, Electric Tears, is a
really good album to chillout to. Just soft, mellow electric guitar. I highly recommend it.
Anyway, I'll leave it at that for now. My hands hurt.
Cya soon,
Mike
